Kitchen fit for Mark Twain

We finished this custom Yellow kitchen in December. My favorite kitchen to design. Classical. It is made of Poplar and hand painted to a yellow taken from Mark Twain's home. The countertops are a leathered soapstone. We knew we wanted to do a colored/painted kitchen to help break up all of the wood grain planned for the home. For the ceiling I did cherry bead paneling at random widths.

I love soapstone. I've used it on other jobs. For me it's looks a bit more natural than most of the granites. There is a little maintenance involved. It cleans nice and is heat/cold resistant. I like it over granite/marble.
